Corpoguajira has minimized the collision of birds in the electrical networks of La Guajira

The entity has required the operating companies to install flight diverters in the transmission lines.

The Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira, Corpoguajira, works permanently to minimize the risk that resident and migratory birds of La Guajira have of colliding with electrical power networks.

Samuel Lanao Robles, CEO of Corpoguajira, indicated that the entity permanently monitors in real time the route of the pink flamingos since the year 2016, for which four individuals have been marked in different parts of the department.

"Through a platform we monitor them daily and from there we generate the maps of these routes so that this information serves us in the environmental impact studies of the different projects that are developed in the territory", pointed out.

Finally, Corpoguajira reiterated that it will continue to carry out follow-up work, control, monitoring and exercising environmental authority, in order to ensure the protection of
the biological diversity of the department.
