Corpoguajira advances actions to recover wetlands, improve urban habitat and mitigate the effects of climate change.

This commemoration was adopted in 1971 by the World Wetlands Convention in Rasmar (Irán), in order to advance actions at a global level, that allow the conservation of wetlands and their resources.

La Guajira has more than 30 wetlands that favor flood mitigation and coastal erosion.
