A total of 60 families living in the rural area of ​​Urumita, were benefited with the delivery of ecological stoves. Corpoguajira socialized the results of the project “Strategies to reduce pressure on forest resources through the establishment of efficient stoves” executed by the AguaLuna Foundation. During the socialization, training was provided to the families benefiting from the delivery of the ecological stoves, about its correct use. The stoves are made of vitrified brick, wrought iron and stainless steel. We also have a fireplace, four hotplates, an oven, a container for heating water, a ventilation channel for wood burning and an airtight compartment for ash storage. The implementation of this tool allows the recovery of forests due to the low use of firewood, protection channels, smoke removal and time savings when preparing food, contributing to the environment and also improving the quality of life of the beneficiaries, providing a smoke-free environment with better hygiene conditions.
