Nowadays, 21 families empowered in the protection of natural resources, located in the Cerro Bañaderos and Serranía de Perijá Integrated Management Districts; and Dry Forests in the Rio Ancho and Rio Cañas reservoirs, covering the municipalities of Barrancas, Hatonuevo, Fonseca and Riohacha.
