NATIONAL ARMY, NEW ALLY TO CARE ENVIRONMENT

The commitment to train the soldiers of the Matamoros Battalion in environmental issues was the commitment acquired by Corpoguajira at the request of the commander of the Military Unit, after carrying out a recreational pedagogical day held in the Majayura district of Maicao.

The inhabitants of the place attended all the activities promoted by the entity in the mobile unit. The Wild Magic movie, the painting contest, charlas, and reading workshops were, among others, the activities that were carried out in the Corregimiento.

The soldiers were interested in contributing during their military service to carrying out environmental education activities., community organization for environmental management and to receive training in environmental legislation and education, protected areas, environmental comparison and in the management and use of solid waste.
