The activity was attended by the Director General of Corpoguajira, Luis Manuel Medina Toro; the Minister of Mines and Energy, Amylkar Acosta Medina; Director of GSC, Iván Galvis Sarmiento; the Mayoress Manaus, Francisca Freyle Mengual, including representatives of national and regional.

The works are part of the policies implemented by the environmental authority , to mitigate the problems of drought in the region each year; why Corpoguajira , SGC, Minminas, Minvivienda, the Government of La Guajira, ASAA and Departmental Plan for Water in La Guajira and the City of Manaure, have joined forces to develop initiatives resilience against climate change impacts associated, the dry season and water shortages.

The well has a depth of 500 meters and is capable of generating 60 liters of water per second, This will allow a significant advance in the provision of resources for the beneficiary communities. The official handover ceremony, will be held next week.
