After a participatory exercise throughout the department and a Virtual Public Hearing to present the proposal to the community, the Action Plan was approved 2020 – 2023 Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira.

The CEO of the Corporation, Samuel Lanao Robles, He thanked the participation of all those interested in generating environmental sustainability in the department and the Board of Directors of the entity for having approved and successfully completed the formulation stage of this important planning instrument..

The formulation of the document also had the contributions of the mayors and their work teams, control entities, educational institutions and different productive unions.

For the next four years, Corpoguajira has made four strategic lines available to guajiros: comprehensive management of natural resources and the environment for the sustainable development of La Guajira, recover and maintain strategic ecosystems, environmental planning for the orientation of society towards the efficient occupation of the territory, participation for the development and dissemination of a more environmentally friendly culture with our environment, production and democratization of knowledge to support territorial environmental management and CORPOGUAJIRA as the leading entity and coordinator of environmental management in La Guajira.

The call is for each inhabitant of the department to make the environmental issue their own, participating and proposing actions that allow progress in the implementation of public policies that generate sustainable development in our territory.
