In this activity, the Director General of Corpoguajira, Luis Manuel Medina Toro; He presented the report Management Action Plan, vigencia 2014, detailing the most significant achievements of the entity during the previous year, among them, la atención brindada a la población vulnerable durante la temporada de sequía, the declaration of new protected areas for the preservation of biodiversity, autoridad y control ambiental; the renewal of quality certifications by Icontec International, advances in solid waste, watershed conservation, species of fauna and flora and mitigation of the effects of climate change.

Additionally, the work carried out in the comprehensive water resource management programs was highlighted., environmental land management, biodiverse forests and ecosystem services, environmental management, sectoral and urban; environmental education and exercise of environmental authority.

During the event, the four Municipal Mayors who will be part of the Board of Directors of Corpoguajira were chosen., this year: Rafael Ceballos Sierra (Riohacha), Claudia Gómez Ovalle (Villanueva), José Zabaleta López (El Molino) y José Moscote Pana (Fonseca).

La actividad también incluyó la presentación financiera y el informe del revisor fiscal de la Corporación.
