Corpoguajira considers it appropriate that coal companies, in the company of the Secretary of Health of the Department; carry out epidemiological studies, especially at critical points, to know the state of impact that the community may have due to the emissions of particulate matter.

The entity requested Carbones del Cerrejón and Carbones Colombianos del Cerrejón, implement control strategies from the technical-operational point of view, that allow reducing emissions contributions, to several towns located near the mines, since due to its proximity to the dumps and pits in exploitation, your records could be increased.
