ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORITY ORDERS THE CLOSURE OF PORQUERIZA IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF FONSECA

For not having the respective discharge permit, Corpoguajira sanctioned and ordered the definitive closure of the pigsty located in Los Toquitos, rural area of Fonseca.

The closure occurs after the respective technical inspection by the officials of the environmental authority., finding that the pigsty did not have the respective wastewater discharge permit, lacks hygiene and sanitation measures, thus breaching environmental regulations for the development of this type of project.

During the visual inspection visit for a complaint about damage to the ground, It was also found that the place also does not have technical conditions for the proper disposal of waste and constantly generates offensive odors..

It should be remembered that this type of project must comply with rigorous conditions in order not to affect the neighboring inhabitants.; pig pens must be adjusted to location regulations, building, water treatment, covers and feeders, should be located in high places, dry and easy drainage, and avoid cutting down trees as this helps shade the animals.
