The estimated size to declare are 16.000 hectares, also for the conservation and maintenance of the populations of wild fauna and flora, especially those that are threatened with extinction or that have a restricted distribution require special care of their habitats.

The works are advanced in an articulated manner between Corpoguajira, the Biocolombia Foundation, the Organization for Conservation of Nature Conservancy and AID; entities have scheduled a field visit to the area to testify during the days 23, 24 and 25 November 2011.
