Well attended graduate started the Training Strategies Adaptation and Mitigation to Climate Change, training event organized by the Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira, Corpoguajira and the Association of professionals and environmentalists of La Guajira, ASOPAGUA, which seeks that professionals, technical, technologists, government officials and researchers in environmental and agricultural areas, acquire the knowledge, develop their capabilities, skills and abilities to encourage and promote actions against climate change in the different areas of the department. It is worth highlighting the importance of climate change today., to guide the most vulnerable communities of La Guajira, face this complex phenomenon and generate environmental awareness about it; that's why, that it is necessary to strengthen professional and institutional capacities with key actors, increasing knowledge about the potential impacts to which they will have to adapt in the future; Likewise, facilitate planning to reduce or mitigate these impacts and implement planning strategies to ensure the investment that may be generated due to climate variability in each municipality.. This type of analysis spaces, reflection and exchange of knowledge and sustainable technologies, They acquire singular importance to the extent that they help populations in their mitigation and adaptation processes in the face of climate variability., supported by institutional and social support in the search to improve the use of natural resources and the quality of life of the communities settled in La Guajira. The diploma is being developed with the support of the Antonio Nariño University, It is divided into five modules, guided by master's and doctoral experts in environmental sustainability issues, which will facilitate the understanding and understanding of the topics discussed, supported by pedagogical and audiovisual aids with access to updated sources of information, has a duration of 120 contact hours and 240 field work hours.
