With the implementation of various strategies for environmental education, Corpoguajira contributes significantly to the conservation of biodiversity and solid waste management in rural areas of Riohacha and Maicao, inhabited by indigenous Wayuu.
The activities are aimed at generating a change in attitude in these communities, promote citizen environmental responsibility, providing training opportunities, reflection and socialization issues that give them knowledge to promote processes to defend and preserve the natural resources of the environment in which they are.
This program is advanced together with the Foundation for Social and Environmental Development, with the active participation and commitment of the people of the Aremasain rancherías, Smtui, Cur, Chemerrain, Atakarrarú, Cululatamana and Apple (Manaure) and Rancho Nuevo, Ceritos, olives, Cucurumana and lively Campo (Riohacha).
