The UN General Assembly designated 5 June each year, such as World Environment Day, in order to make deeper universal awareness of the need to protect and improve our environment and biodiversity.
To join this great celebration, Corpoguajira designed a varied program in which teachers will participate, students, indigenous communities, community in general, official and private companies; in order to celebrate this important environmental date in a big way and raise awareness among the inhabitants of the region about the importance of conserving the environment and natural resources.
On Tuesday 5 June of this year, from the 8:00 am the seminar “Urban Environmental Management and Environmental Sanctioning Process” will be held, liability, Administrative and disciplinary "; aimed at public officials, community leaders and academics.
To the 9:00 am, The crafts and painting workshop “Creativity in the Environment” begins. The activity will take place in Riohacha, in the facilities of the Ecological House (Street 10 N° 3 -61).
Several Wayúu indigenous communities, will participate in the town of El Pájaro (Manaure), in an educational day on household solid waste management. Teachers will also attend the event., representatives of the administrative body, students and parents of the Child Development Center.
In the afternoon hours, The workshop “Permaculture as a strategy to minimize the effects of climate change” has been scheduled in the Corpoguajira auditorium.; aimed at the Ecological and Environmental Police and students of vocational educational institutions mean Livio Reginaldo Fischione, Ephraim Deluque Semprúm and Denzil Escolar. The event will be guided by the Agronomist and MSc in Soil Sciences, Leonardo Blanco Rodríguez.
