Among the actions to be implemented are tree plantations, trainings and awareness, ecological and playful nights. Also collections at critical points.

The Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira - Corpoguajira, will commemorate World Environment Day by intensifying planting actions, environmental education and culture. For that, has designed a varied agenda that includes a deployment through the different municipalities of the department where trees will be carried out, trainings and awareness, ecological and playful nights, and also waste collection days at critical points.

The tree planting days will be held in the municipalities of Uribia, Distracción, Riohacha and San Juan del Cesar. Where a sembthon will take place in specific places such as: Nazareth Ethnoeducational Institution, Cavalry Battalion Rondón Mechanized Group (Buenavista), Township of Los Remedios and the Cañaverales Spring, the latter scheduled for the next 10 de junio.

Regarding the cleaning days, the selected sites were: the town of Tomarrazón in Riohacha and the neighborhoods of the municipality of Maicao Hary Fuminalla, Fonseca Siosi and Montebello. The 6 the 12 June in Albania a collection is scheduled included in PROCEDA (Citizen Environmental Education Project) in the Villa Fátima neighborhood that allows the recovery of the mangrove. It should be noted that for all these collection days there are great allies such as Interaseo, CIDEA and municipal mayors.

The trainings, awareness and pedagogy about the environment will be multiplied with environmental recuperators, tour operators and community in general. They will start in the areas that adjoin large supermarkets and chain stores. Likewise, training will be carried out on solid waste management and separation at sources in the neighborhood. 31 October in Riohacha. The Corporation moves for three days 8, 9 and 10 de junio, to the South of La Guajira with the mobile unit as a rolling tool of the Environmental Culture on Wheels program to make movies in the park and other recreational activities that contribute to the strengthening of environmental awareness.

The 5 June each year is World Environment Day, suitable date to reflect on the importance of caring for natural resources and promoting their conservation.
