Aproximadamente 200 indígenas wayúu asentados en Manaure (comunidad Chochouleca), gozan hoy de acceso al agua potable, through a sustainable project financed by the college of Management and Decision Corpoguajira (Tocad).
The work included the installation of a groundwater supply operated wind energy. Through photovoltaic panels the force necessary for sucking water is generated through a submersible pump, thanks to a wind turbine, always be in operation.
This vital resource has significantly improved the quality of life of the beneficiaries indigenous, who today use water to perform their daily activities, additionally they have implemented crops that contribute to food security.
As part of this exciting project, environmental friendly, different days were performed socialization, training, technical assistance and awareness on the efficient use and saving water.
