Corpoguajira successfully participates in the intersectoral dialogue with the Car against Green Growth

Corpoguajira participates in the intersectoral dialogue between Car and Green Growth, an event in which the Regional Autonomous Corporations, the Ministry of Environment, Several public institutions and the country's productive sectors build route maps and joint processes that allow strengthening relationships for the benefit of environmental protection and sustainable development..

During the activity, which takes place in Bogotá D.C. the Director General of Corpoguajira, Luis Manuel Medina Toro, shared with the attendees some of the entity's successful experiences on this topic, among them the consultation tables for the formalization of small mining carried out in the municipalities of Riohacha, Maicao, Dibulla, Manaure, Hatonuevo, Fonseca, San Juan del Cesar, Villanueva and Uribia; offering alternatives to carry out the activity of using natural resources with responsibility and sustainability.

Medina Toro, also socialized the result of resilience initiatives against the effects associated with climate change, highlighting the support for productive sectors to establish response measures to the risks caused by this situation, the implementation of works to confront the drought and the El Niño Phenomenon.

The event aims to strengthen regional development within the framework of “Green Growth” included in the National Development Plan and promoted by the National Government.. This strategy seeks to ensure that all public institutions and productive sectors make decisions always thinking about the environment..
The activity has the participation of representatives of the 33 CAR of the country, unions and companies like ACM, Fenalco, Cotelco, Acolgen, Ecopetrol, inter. The installation ceremony was carried out by the Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, Gabriel Vallejo López.
