With the delivery of ecological stoves in Maicao, Corpoguajira meet commitments after consulting the landfill north

A total of 19 Marañamana indigenous communities and La Estrella (Maicao) and 41 Rio Claro, They will benefit from the delivery of ecological stoves, an initiative of Corpoguajira, to contribute to improving the quality of life of the inhabitants of the southern peninsula under conditions of vulnerabiidad.

Speaking today forest recovery, protection channels, smoke removal and time savings when preparing food; It is referring to efficient stoves or ecological, an alternative that has been shown that mitigation of the pressure on forest resources and pollution to the atmosphere particulate matter emission, contributing to the decline of respiratory diseases, and stomach cancer.

The stoves are made with glazed brick, wrought iron and stainless steel. We also have a fireplace, four hotplates, an oven, a container for heating water, a venting channel for wood combustion and an airtight compartment for storing ashes.
