Ensure the structuring and strengthening of the Inter-institutional Committees for Environmental Education, is one of the main objectives.
For the sake of facilitating articulation, the agile cooperation and participation of the CAR of the Caribbean and Insular in the regional strategies of Environmental Education, Regional Commission for Environmental Education of the Caribbean and Insular was formed - CREACI, made up of CAR: Cardique, Carsucre, coralline, Corpamag, Corpocesar, Corpoguajira, Corpomojana; Corpouraba, C.R.A, CSB y la CVS.
CREACI has among its main objectives: ensure the structuring and strengthening of the Inter-institutional Committees for Environmental Education - CIDEA, at the municipal and departmental level; promote the formation of said committees in the territorial entities; establish technical and methodological agreements for the development of joint actions, complementary and collaborative to address regional issues and problems; formulate joint regional projects related to environmental education and promote their implementation in the territories, through CAR.
It should be noted that the creation of this commission was carried out in the meeting of Directors of the CAR Caribbean and Insular region held in Coveñas, Sucre last Friday 16 of July.
The Director General of the Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira, Samuel Lanao Robles, was satisfied with the start-up of CREACI.
“For us in La Guajira, this step we are taking in the region is especially pleasant., under the understanding that we need to act before environmental damage occurs. Prevention is essential in a department that has a threatened dry forest, a high water deficit and with increasing decline in recent years, as well as a great advance in desertification processes ", stated the highest authority of the Corporation, who also highlighted that this alliance allows teamwork to promote the CIDEA, PROCEAS, PRAES and all activities related to environmental education.
