The event included the participation of María Isabel Ulloa Cruz, Vice Minister of Mines; José María Ballesteros Valdivieso, Governor of La Guajira; Samuel Lanao Robles, Deputy Director of Environmental Management of Corpoguajira and representatives of the mayors of Riohacha, Maicao, Manaure, Dibulla, Fonseca, San Juan del Cesar and Uribia.

As part of the commitments acquired, Corpoguajira and Minminas, The work started the previous year will be completed to diagnose and characterize all the mining operations units developed on the peninsula, taking into account technical components, social, business, environmental and legal, within the framework of the National Mining Policy.

The regional board for the formalization of small mining also seeks to articulate public policy on this matter with regional and national authorities., to implement actions that allow organizing this activity in La Guajira.
