Climatic influences and polluting waste are the main causes of decreased oxygen in our coastal marine waters; This was determined by analysis, Since the year 2001 per annum 2015, on the quality of these waters, by Corpoguajira through environmental laboratory.

The study was supported by Invemar. Samples were collected during 15 years old, every six months 23 estaciones, in order to observe the behavior of the same in the dry season and rainy.

The mouths of the rivers Rancheria, Reeds, Palomino sherry and presented microbiological conditions unsuitable for the development of primary contact recreational activities both in the rainy season and dry, and defaulting quality criteria established in Colombian law.

I was also determined, the microbiological quality of Riohacha and Camarones beaches are influenced by the Rancheria River and sewage from the city of Riohacha.

Marine-coastal waters of La Guajira, They are not contaminated by oil, pesticides, or heavy metals. Nevertheless,- in times of lluvias-, water influenced by the river Ranchería recorded increases in concentrations of pollutants aforementioned.

This study shows lel fulfilling its mission through a common investigative research. The study is available to the public.
