After the reception that the launch of “Yo me muevo en Bici” had last 29 January in the city of Riohacha , in which more than 400 people, Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira, will launch a bicycle parking lot, designated for external public.

The use of the parking lot, aims, that all users who travel to the Corporation by bicycle, have a space to park and thus encourage more Guajiros to use this means of transportation in the region..

The “I move by bike” campaign , suggests the bicycle as a sustainable and environmentally friendly mobility proposal; therefore the adoption of this culture would be a significant contribution to reducing pollution levels produced by means of automotive transportation.

Likewise Corporation, hopes that the different entities and organizations, They join this campaign, promoting the use of this means of personal transport, both for its users, as well as for staff working.

It is worth noting that bicycle use contributes to health, improving the functioning of the cardiovascular and pulmonary system. It also avoids congestion on transport routes., also reducing visual pollution, hearing and greenhouse gases that contribute to air pollution and global warming produced by motor vehicles.
