A total of 15 organizations that are part of the Network of Environmental Associations of La Guajira –ADDRESS-, They actively participate in the Senior Management Diploma, designed to strengthen your financial processes, administrative tasks and the management they carry out for the benefit of the environment and natural resources.

The strategy is an initiative of Corpoguajra, and is also aimed at organizations generating quality services, that allow them to be sustainable over time.

Two members of each NGO participate in the Diploma, who in the framework of the training, They develop internal consultancies in order to improve the processes they are carrying out..

The activity is projected until the month of March 2012, It also has the support of the La Guajira Chamber of Commerce, the Colombian Federation of Non-Governmental Organizations of the Caribbean and the University of La Guajira.

Members of the Interinstitutional Environmental Education Committee are trained

In order to train the members of the Interinstitutional Committee on Environmental Education, for the department of La Guajira –CIDEA, The Corporation led the design of a diploma course aimed at positioning environmental education in the peninsula, taking into account ethnic particularities, cultural and ecosystems of the region.

In this process, Representatives of the following entities are currently participating: Corpoguajira, Government of La Guajira, National Police, Waves Program, Libyan Educational Institution Reginaldo Ficchioni, Interaseo, He added, Ecological House Foundation, La Guajira Forest Chain, University of La Guajira, Federation of Community Boards of the Department of La Guajira and the Municipal Mayor's Office of Manaure.

The CIDEA La Guajira has been established since the year 2006. In an evaluation carried out by the Ministry of National Education, It was concluded that this committee, presented some difficulties in achieving its objectives due to the lack of adequate conceptualization to address environmental issues objectively.. For this reason Corpoguajira, began this training process in order to contribute to the environmental improvement of the department, through environmental education processes.
