Corpoguajira initiated actions to know the level of gas emissions from mobile sources (automotive fleet) in five municipalities of the department, in order to define regional prevention and control programs to reduce carbon monoxide concentrations, carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons.

Maicao, Uribia, San Juan del Cesar, Fonseca and Riohacha, are the territories in which mobile source monitoring campaigns are carried out that also seek to sensitize drivers about the importance of keeping their vehicles in good technical-mechanical condition. It is estimated that around 300 automotives will be reviewed through these days that will culminate next 7 from December.
