The Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira, fulfilling its social responsibility in the department, It establishes a series of agreements with entities, educational institutions and community organizations, in order to donate wood for the use of the common good.

For this reason, the environmental authority, in agreement with the National Police, joined the campaign “For the children of La Guajira.”, a commitment of all” with the donation of 40 Caracolì boards, 17 Puy forks and 60 Guaymaro slats for the construction of a kiosk that will serve as a community restaurant for the children of the Wayuù community in the Pansaly ranch in the municipality of Uribia.

The wood delivered to the community was the result of seizures in the control and surveillance operations often carried out by public forces on the department's roads., This material is collected at the Corpoguajira collection center located in Rio Claro in the municipality of Dibulla., species that after judicial procedures and confirmation of being illegal material is taken for social purposes in the region.
