The highest environmental authority will lead different activities in which teachers will participate, students and members of the community in general.
Estudiantes y docentes de instituciones educativas de La Guajira, will commemorate jointly with Corpoguajira, el Día Mundial de la Educación Ambiental, which is celebrated every 26 from January, con el fin de crear conciencia en las personas acerca de la necesidad de participar en la conservación y protección del medio ambiente, así como revertir los daños que a lo largo de los siglos el ser humano ha propiciado a la naturaleza.
“Como autoridad ambiental, We are convinced that new models of sustainable development must be created so that the small actions that each person takes have a positive global impact on the environment.; For this reason we are inviting representatives of the academy and the community in general, to work hand in hand in the programs carried out by the Corporation on this important issue”, Manifesto Arcesio Romero Perez, General Manager Corpoguajira.

La Educación Ambiental apareció en 1972 con la Declaración de Estocolmo. Para Corpoguajira es un componente fundamental para el logro de los objetivos que se propone la entidad, para cumplir su misión de contribuir a garantizar la conservación de la biodiversidad en La Guajira, así como de preservar los bienes y servicios ambientales que prestan los diferentes ecosistemas que posee la península a la región.
