CORPOGUAJIRA IN JOINT WORK WITH THE POLICE KNOWS LOCATION AND DETAILS ABOUT DEAD SHARK FOUND ON THE BEACHES OF RIOHACHA

The environmental authority calls on citizens to continue implementing actions that help to conserve the species.

Today through social networks we receive images sent by a citizen reporting on a lifeless shark found on the seashore in the power of locals or fishermen from the sector. Immediately, the Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira gives notice to the Police to coordinate the corresponding action and determine the site of the events.

In a joint operation it was possible to specify that the images corresponded to the sector known as the lighthouse in the District of Riohacha and according to citizen information the coastal marine species of approximately two meters in length was abandoned on the shores of the beach and later residents of the place took the individual deceased for consumption. It was not possible to know more details of the shark because only the viscera and part of the head were found.

Corpoguajira thanks the citizen who made this fact known and calls on the Guajiros and visitors to continue implementing actions that help the conservation of our species.
