This structure was built in order to prevent erosion caused by the river flow affects aqueduct networks that pass through its shore, just like what happened a couple of years ago in this area.
During the meeting called for the delivery of the work, some members of this community were very grateful for the work ahead in its territory Corpoguajira, to the relief it is to have water service without worrying about the effects of river erosion Tapias.
