The special alliance seeks to program the development of activities in educational - environmental matters.

The Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira - Corpoguajira and the Mixed Fund for the Promotion of the Cultures and Arts of La Guajira sign a memorandum of understanding to strengthen environmental culture in the department of La Guajira.

The agreement will address specific issues such as: the training of artists and cultists as community trainers in environmental education in the municipalities of the Peninsula; design and implement the environmental management strategy, community and environmental participation, urban environmental management from a cultural approach; design and development of an art and culture contest with different sectors that address environmental education and the solution to socio-environmental conflicts in the territory.

The agreement will have a duration of one year from the date and can be extended for equal periods by mutual agreement between the parties.. It will also be promoted and promoted through different projects.

"With this agreement we seek to strengthen the environmental culture of the department and strengthen institutional projects related to environmental education and urban environmental management", indicated the coordinator of Environmental Education of Corpoguajira, Eliumat Maza Samper.
