Corpoguajira and the Temporary Union Proambiente, They began implementing conservation strategies for endangered wildlife species, with a focus on tropical dry forest ecosystems, forest altoandino, rainforest, very dry tropical forest and mangrove; present in the Integrated Management Districts Bañaderos, Muschi and Cañaverales and Protective Forest Reserve Montes de Oca.

Through this project specific actions aimed at the preservation of Cardinal Guajiro are ahead, Turpial, Marimonda and Guacamaya; including control of invasive species, as the Giant African Snail, lionfish; and to estimate the current population of these individuals and their respective monitoring execution.

Jobs are supported by environmental lookouts that have been formed by Corpoguajira, considering that are leaders who know their environment and mission will be guardians of nature for the management and use of biodiversity complies with the rules and the responsibility that attends community.

The project is financed by the college of Management and Decision - OCAD- of Corpoguajira and will last one year.
