The Municipal Committee Cattlemen Riohacha and Corpoguajira, work will advance scientific and technical cooperation that will contribute to reconvert areas for grazing and with problems of land degradation and pasture.

In addition, this work will allow the generation of knowledge and implementation of projects on intensive silvopastoral systems in various agroecosystems; establishing industrial timber, native trees of fine wood and fruit in mixed systems with pastures, shrubs and livestock; evaluation, valuation and payment for environmental services generated in organic farming; development and promotion of sound practices water resources in agricultural production; among other activities.

Livestock is an important sector of the provincial economy, therefore it requires assistance and technical advice from the environmental authority, to guide their activities efficiently, in terms of increased productivity and improved environmental development, considering their significant impact on the environment and the intensive use of natural resources.

Small and medium agricultural enterprises, linked to the project, are highly committed to the implementation of each of the actions to be implemented, which contribute significantly to sustainable development in the region.
