Corpoguajira driving mechanisms for integrated solid waste management, in the southern department

In order to find an agreed solution to the integrated management of solid waste in the south of La Guajira, a meeting chaired by the Director General of Corpoguajira held, Luis Manuel Medina Toro, They attended by the mayors of the municipalities of Fonseca, San Juan del Cesar, Office secretaries of Villanueva, Distraction and Urumita and a representative of Environmental and Agrarian.

Mayors and other delegates came to the commitment to seek a comprehensive solution for managing solid waste in the area of ​​the department, through a serious and responsible company operating efficiently and allows applying a balancing formula that promotes a balance in operating costs of the delivery system of sanitation services in all municipalities in the south of La Guajira. They also were pleased with the good intention of Corpoguajira in providing support to find a clear and sustainable response to the problem of waste.
