Corpoguajira initiates consultation process to set goals pollutant loads from point discharges, bodies to the surface of the peninsula

A través de la Resolución 01652 the 1 October 2014, Corpoguajira begins and regulates the consultation process for setting the goals of polluting loads of Biochemical Oxygen Demand (DBO5) and Total Suspended Solids (SST), by specific discharges to the surface bodies in the peninsula for the period 2015-2019.

The definition of pollution load goals, It is a five-year planning procedure, that establishes global goal scenarios in a participatory manner, sectoral and individual BOD5 and SST loads that are identified as feasible from a technical-economic point of view to advance or achieve compliance with the quality objectives defined for the water resource.

For this purpose, el 17 October 2014, a socialization workshop will be held, to which representatives of the industrial sector have been summoned, sewer service providers, municipalities, environmental NGOs, among other actors involved in the use, management and opinion for the decontamination of water resources. The activity will take place in the Corpoguajira auditorium (Cra 7 NO 12 – 15, Riohacha), from the 8:00 am.
In the workshop, essential topics were developed for the decision regarding the individual and global polluting load goal of the sections in the jurisdiction of the Corporation., deployed as follows: definition of game rules, Decree 2667 of 2012 (contents and scope), design of the goals consultation and issues related to the methodology will be addressed, procedures and bases for the design and support of the proposals for polluting load goals.
