CORPOGUAJIRA interposes POPULAR ACTION TO ENSURE RECOVERY IN RIOHACHA MANGLARES

The District of Riohacha has a valuable ecosystem as is the Rancheria River Delta which hosts a number of wildlife, regulates the climate and preventing coastal erosion controls the onslaught of the waves against the mainland. Given that the popular action was introduced in Colombian legislation with the constitution of 1991 and basically it corresponds to a tool that can implement any citizen to petition a judge for protection of some collective rights when it considers that the action of a public or private entity these rights are being violated or threatened, the corporation decided in order to ensure the ecological balance, a healthy environment, safety and health, the right to use and enjoyment of property for public use and rational utilization of natural resources of wetlands that make up this protected area department.
