CORPOGUAJIRA TRAINING LEADS IN COMMUNITY CARE UNITS IN DISTRICT RIOHACHA

Corpoguajira trains 80 Foundation employees Cielo Abierto, dedicated to serving more than 500 children living in rural Riohacha through 27 Community Care Units (U.C.A.) attached to ICBF.

In rural areas the care of infants is even more precarious, Therefore Corpoguajira provides environmental education based on the proper management of solid waste generated from the operation, clean practices, separation from source, rational use of water, reuse recycling and solid waste reduction among others, the application of concepts result in quality of life for the inhabitants of the areas served.

To achieve the objective, Corpoguajira offers workshops to be held in the next six Friday in the auditorium of the entity from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m.; in this space they are given some strategies to improve citizen coexistence, conservation of species of wildlife and environment friendly practices for conservation, sustainability and environmental sustainability.

The Open Sky Foundation plans at the end of training, formally present the project called Solid Waste Management applied in intercultural own way to all users, in compliance with the requirements standardized by the ICBF, and whose learning is acquiring the hand of Corpoguajira.

It should be noted that once a month the U.C.A. conduct community meetings, in them the knowledge acquired share, working together to strengthen human relations and common goals are drawn. Rural areas assisted by the Open Sky Foundation are: Brazil, Barbecue, Cotoprix, Mongu, Cerrillo, Tomarrazón, The little houses, Juan y medio, Cascajalito, Palmarito, Mañature, Coloyosu and Diosvera.
