Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira called for government entities, public and private companies and the community in general to jointly agree on an inter-institutional strategy that contributes to controlling and mitigating the effects of this phenomenon of climate variability, caused in large part by the actions they take people and industries that seriously affect the elements of natural resources such as air, Water, floor, fauna and flora.

This initiative created to facilitate intersectoral management through prevention and control actions to strengthen environmental management and the conservation of our renewable natural resources.. To date these spaces have been developed in 6 of the municipalities of the department within the framework of a Corpoguajira project executed by the Preservar Corporation.

As part of the meeting various commitments agreed, in order to join forces so that the impacts are noticeable, for the recovery of ecosystems that have been intervened with bad environmental practices. The members of the table also agreed to hold environmental awareness and waste collection days in the different municipalities of the department..

The day ends with the announcement of the Summit Against Environmental Crimes that will be held next 30 May, counting on the active participation of the institutions for the planning of actions that mitigate the aforementioned crimes.
