By improper disposal of solid waste Corpoguajira ordered the opening of an investigation to the municipality of Hatonuevo. The decision was taken after making several visits in different areas of the locality showing satellites dumpsites, in places like the spring El Pozo, in rural and urban areas of the town.

It is noteworthy that both the municipality and the company INGESAM S.A. ESP, they ignored the resolution No. 00393 the 2 March of 2018 through which precautionary measure was imposed and which must perform collection and proper disposal of waste.

The solid waste disposal improperly, by the company INGESAM S.A. E.S.P. does not meet the minimum requirements established by the regulations and the place established as final disposal originated in a satellite open dump.

This municipality needs to undertake actions aimed at raising community awareness and develop campaigns to generate behaviors that favor the environment and natural resources throughout its jurisdiction.
