Intercultural dialogue, aims to show the need for consistent and inclusive to raise awareness about the importance of conservation and protection of water resources as a source of human life icluida; also generate strategies to improve the living conditions of populations facing problems related to water.
Invited panelists, They have developed the expertise from their workplaces and environments leadership on the ability to impart knowledge and implement strategies related to the preservation and conservation of freshwater sources.
Representing the peasant sector, He was invited Mr. Rafael Arías, leader in processes of agrarian reform and represent the cooperative agriculturores Santa Rita de Jerez in Dibulla; Leonardo Ochoa Mejia, director of Black Communities, coordinator culture and education foundation Afroguajira; Gabriel Gil Pinto, Mamo and teacher of new generations of the sector; Miguel Angel Lopez, writer and poet of caste Apshana, Ong advisor collective suchimma and winner of the Casa de las Américas Prize, will be the speaker of the Wayuu; and finally Mr. Rafael Hernández Villalba, Mingueo leader who is currently leading the formation of the Association Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta with organizations Dibulla and Santa Marta.
World Water Day commemorates this natural resource as a fundamental element for life. This celebration is part of the campaign of the United Nations Organization (HIM) to safeguard this resource. This day was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1993 and celebrated the 22 March each year.
