Environmental challenges of the regions, climate change and environmental democracy; were some of the topics discussed
The Director General of Corpoguajira, Samuel Lanao Robles, participated in the meeting held by the environmental authorities of the country with the Minister of Environment (designated), Susana Muhammad Gonzalez, in the capital of the country.
The official explained that "during the meeting, issues related to the environmental challenges of the regions and the willingness of the CARs to work jointly from the territories with said ministry were addressed."
In addition, noted that "in this meeting, we also deal with aspects related to environmental democracy and real preparation, true, defined and forceful in the face of climate change”.
Meanwhile, Muhamad González reported that the government has two major priority challenges: coherence between the State and its institutions through a policy that articulates the sectors, and two, territorialize politics, highlighting the importance of citizen participation in the regions, “We are going to delve into environmental democracy and preparation for the reality of the phenomenon of climate variability. A regular, limit and exercise authority with technical support and social agreement”.
The meeting was held within the framework of the 65 International Congress of Acodal, where the general assembly of Asocars was held.
