The Director General of Corpoguajira, Luis Manuel Medina Toro; participated in the second working group of the Joint Commission of the Coastal Environmental Unit -UAC- from the northern slope of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, whose purpose was the approval of its internal regulations, the delimitation proposal and the approval of the operational plan 2014.

The UAC is an area of ​​the coastal zone geographically defined for its planning and management., that contains ecosystems with their own and distinctive characteristics, with similar conditions and connectivity in terms of their structural and functional aspects.
