At the stand of the Corporation, Projects related to green markets and biodiversity conservation on the peninsula are socialized.

The Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira, is participating in Biocaribe 2013, business fair for environmental products and services, whose third version takes place this year on the island of San Andrés, with the aim of promoting the wealth of natural resources and the commitment to sustainable development.

During the event, the environmental authority of La Guajira, has socialized with visitors and exhibitors, jobs related to green markets, among them the production of organic coffee and honey obtained by Wayúu indigenous people, within the framework of the labor reconversion program, which is carried out in an articulated manner with the Chamber of Commerce.

Entrepreneurs are participating in Biocaribe, entrepreneurs, providers, distributors, teachers and students; interested in production, commercialization, consumption of nature-friendly goods and services.

The fair's agenda includes a series of conferences with national and international experts, on biotrade issues, use and exploitation of natural resources; cleaner production workshops on artisanal and agricultural fishing; school entrepreneurship in innovation and technological development of high school students and a special cultural agenda.

Biocaribe 2013, It is organized by the Corporation for the Sustainable Development of the San Andrés Archipelago, Providencia and Santa Catalina (coralline), with the support of official and private entities.
