Bioexpo Colombia is the fair of products and services of biodiversity friendly to the environment, the country's largest. This year its sixth version is held in Bogotá del 5 the 7 November, in the José Celestino Mutis Botanical Garden, with the purpose of promoting sustainable productive processes linked to the use and exploitation of natural resources, to industrial eco-products and environmental services, with a high potential for national and international markets.
Taking into account the importance of this activity, Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira, is supporting a group of green producers in the region, who successfully market the results of their work to fair visitors, such as organic coffee grown by peasant women in the Serranía de Perijá and crafts made with fique by artisans from La Junta (San Juan del Cesar).
In addition, The Corporation is also disseminating various environmental publications of the entity and the corporate programs of the highest environmental authority., aimed at contributing to the sustainability of the environment and the development of the region.
“For Corpoguajira it is very important to be present at these types of events since it allows us to socialize with various companies and entities the work that we support through the Productive Biodiversity program.. We believe in our green producers, That is why today we are with them in Bogotá fully supporting their participation in Bioexpo” expressed Luis Manuel Medina Toro., General Manager Corpoguajira.
Bioexpo Colombia has the participation of different sectors, among them: sustainable use and exploitation of natural resources and biodiversity, sustainable agricultural production systems, industrial eco-products, environmental education and ecotourism.
The fair also includes academic activities in which national and international speakers participate who address topics related to biodiversity and sustainable development..
