The Director General of Corpoguajira, Luis Medina Toro, in the company of several members of the Guajira Verde Network and officials of the entity, in Expoguajira.

Expoguajira is a space to promote commercial meetings, create jobs, open markets to products from the peninsula, promote business and contribute to reinforcing the prosperous and competitive image of the region. This important fair organized by the Chamber of Commerce of the department, will take place until 19 August this year, in the facilities of the Cultural Center.

Taking into account the importance of this activity, the Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira, is participating in Expoguajira with its institutional stand to publicize the management developed through the Productive Biodiversity program (Project Green Markets), through which support and promotion is provided to the competitive and sustainable production processes of the members of the Guajira Verde Network.

Visitors to Expoguajira will be able to learn about the crafts made by the La Macana Fiqueros Association at the Corporation's stand., which is part of the productive chain of the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity, through the alternative cultivation of maguey for the extraction of fibers for the production of crafts and packaging. Its members are dedicated to growing, cut, I defibrated, dyeing and making handicrafts and packaging.

Another of the organizations present is the Juan y Medio Production and Marketing Committee, formed by 20 farming families dedicated to growing organic achiote.
