Corpoguajira presented achievements of his administration to mitigate climate change effects

Corpoguajira presented the environmental management it carries out to mitigate the effects of climate change, at a meeting held in Santa Marta, by the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development. During the activity, social indicators were analyzed to measure this phenomenon in fishing communities., which is why the conceptual framework that will ensure the effectiveness of the implementation of adaptation actions to the territory was socialized..

As part of the commitments addressed by the environmental authority, a working group was also held with representatives of the Climate Change Nodes of La Guajira and Orinoquia., to present the progress of both regions in this initiative that seeks to improve the environment and contribute to sustainable development, using as fundamental tools, identification, promotion and development of actions that aim to mitigate this problem.

During the workshop, the bases were provided to generate strategic alliances that allow responding to the adaptation needs that both territories share..

Officials from Invemar and the Colombian National Natural Parks Unit also participated in the activities., to whom the environmental education and communications strategy was presented, led by Corpoguajira to raise awareness among institutions, journalists and community in general, about this issue in which everyone's commitment to its mitigation is becoming increasingly important..
