This training is covered under the Convention 0028 of 2015, that seeks to recover and conserve biodiversity by controlling the illegal trade in wild fauna and flora and to guarantee attention post-confiscation of specimens and implementation of educational seminars playful environmental education. They attended a 57 people from different public and private entities, made up of officials from the Ministry of Health of La Guajira, Corpoguajira, Civil defense, Firefighters, National Police among other organizations.
A total of 900 specimens have returned to their natural habitat after being treated by professionals in the area at the sites provided by Corpoguajira, the Ecological House and the Agroecological and Ecotourism Center of the Jerez River in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned agreement.
