Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira received by the Special Environmental Foundation, FUNEMA, Green International Environmental Mission Medal for Peace Prize, for his role as an environmental authority in the department of La Guajira, taking steps which promote the restoration and conservation of ecosystems within its jurisdiction.

The event was held at the premises of the First Division of the National Army in the city of Santa Marta, within a day educational and participatory, achieving national and international experiences to share environmental character and generation of peace.

It was attended by environmentalists that contribute to the conservation of the planet from their different professions in different Latin American countries and motivation to implement to increase volunteers in the field worldwide.
