This initiative arises as an environmental management strategy, supported by the Corporate Social-Organizational Responsibility Program, in order to recover urban areas through the planting of trees and ornamental plants.

Thus, in commitment to the city and the inhabitants of the District, work is being done to stop the deterioration of the environment, minimized the high levels of atmospheric pollution and restoring the beauty of the Riohacha landscape.

In addition, the program is aimed at recovering and beautifying the urban environment, as well as preserving the environment and species of the region, through the arborization of degraded areas and the conservation of green areas.

Similarly, the Corporation highlights the importance of urban forestry, which seeks to recover with this initiative, tree cover; providing people in the sector with various goods and services that result in better air quality, landscape design, the ecological maintenance of the city, regulation of extreme temperatures, inter alia.

In the development of this initiative, a voluntary alliance has been consolidated with the District Mayor's Office and the ASSA company to contribute to the conservation and sustainability of the area.

Regarding citizenship, the highest environmental authority of the department, through environmental education, constitutes a participation strategy that promotes the care and conservation of recovered spaces.

Corpoguajira extends the invitation to all citizens to be part of initiatives that help generate a more environmentally friendly culture.
