The incident was perpetrated by several individuals on 6 November 2014, in rural area of ​​the municipality of Fonseca, in the south of La Guajira, in the midst of the execution of actions contemplated in the alliance between Corpoguajira and the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, which contribute to the reforestation and isolation of the Perijá Integrated Management District.

Corpoguajira repudiates this type of behavior and asks the community in general to respect the lives of the people who carry out work within the framework of the functions carried out by the environmental authority., since these tasks contribute significantly to the conservation of the biodiversity of the peninsula.
