Thursday 20 de junio de 2013, the general socialization of the results of the technical framework for evaluation and modeling will be carried out – temporal space, of flood risks, river dynamics, geotechnical events and characterization of flood zones in the hydrographic basins of the Tapias rivers, Sherry, Reeds, Tomarrazón, Carraipía and Ranchería; work that was carried out in an articulated manner between Corpoguajira and Conservation International Colombia.

The actions were executed through the agreement 021 of 2011, signed alliance taking into account that the inadequate planning and use of the territory, processes of environmental degradation have intensified, affecting the volume of catchment and loss of water regulation capacity in hydrographic basins.

As part of the work carried out, The zones and populations affected by the flooding phenomenon and the mass removal phenomenon were identified., at the level of the related basins, with the elaboration of the corresponding maps and the prevention strategy, seeking to identify and propose control and mitigation alternatives, related to civil works and environmental education.
