CORPOGUAJIRA AND NATIONAL ARMY CONTINUES WITH WOOD UNLAWFUL SEIZURE

They were seized 5 Ceiba boards; 27 Caracolí boards and 2 blocks of the latter species.

Corpoguajira officials in cooperation with the National Army seized 34 pieces of wood of the species Caracolí (anacardium high) and yellow Ceiba (Hura crackles). The arrest took place in the village of Alto San Jorge, district of Mingueo, jurisdiction of Dibulla.

The recovery of the two forest species was due thanks to the denunciation of the community, who reported that the wood was harvested on the road, available to be mobilized illegal trade.

National Army troops attached to the Cartagena Battalion moved to the area to verify the information provided and make the respective seizure.

After that, the seized product was delivered to the Department of Environmental Authority and General Secretary of the Corporation, and transferred to the collection center for the formalities. The proceeding concerning Single Act is recorded in the Illicit Trafficking Control of Wildlife No. 012044.

Las 34 parts are declared final confiscation because their origin is natural forest Cane River basin and its use was illegally.
